Whilst all of our aquarium filters will help to breakdown ammonia and keep your water clean and clear, the addition of a UV steriliser reduces the pathogens in the water and prevents algae growth once killed.

This denatures all bacteria after passing through the unit and it will remove the green tinge in water. It is an essential piece of equipment needed for a successful healthy aquarium. It is a good way to limit algae without using any additives or treatments.  A UV filter will also help kill parasites in aquariums with diseases.
